Girls Education

Every day, girls face obstacles to education caused by poverty, cultural standards and practices, mediocre infrastructure, violence and fragility.

Investing in the education of girls transforms communities, countries and the whole world. Girls who receive education are less likely to marry young people and more likely to lead a healthy and productive life. They earn higher income, participate in the decisions that affect them most of them and build better future for themselves and their families.

The education of girls strengthens economies and reduces inequalities. It contributes to more stable and resilient companies that give all individuals – including boys and men – the possibility of achieving their potential.

But education for girls is more than access to school. These are also girls who feel safe in classrooms and supported in the subjects and careers they choose to continue – including those in which they are often underrepresented.
